Adding or changing the scope of the ISO Management System

It’s straightforward to make changes to your scope - such as adding a new site, product line, or service - this should be planned and documented.

Here’s what to do:

  • Define the change – what’s being added, removed, or amended.

  • Assess the impact – will new risks, processes or controls be needed? If so, these will need to be documented in your Management System.

  • Update the scope statement – this is usually in your Management System or a separate scope document.

  • Complete a Change of Certificate Details form https://qmsuk.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Citation-ISO-COCD-Form.pdf and email the completed form to [email protected] Citation ISO’s certification team will review the request and determine if a compliance audit is required. If the change is minor, we may be able to add/remove your scope without the additional audit.

If you have just sent a completed form to [email protected], please click ‘Talk to a person’ on the response email and a member of our team will review the changes you wish to make and advice on next steps. Please allow up to 3 working days for us process this request and respond.
